  <description>A ribbon cutting for MAK&#8217;s Place Country Cooking at 1229 Washington in downtown Commerce was held Monday welcoming them into the Chamber of Commerce. Mel and Tina Kohn and son Andrew opened the new restaurant the week of July 4. They serve a full menu of food and are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner (closed on Mondays).
