Train exhibit opens Thursday night at Children’s Museum

By BRAD KELLAR

Children love trains and now kids of all ages can enjoy a new exhibit opening tonight at the Northeast Texas Children’s Museum in Commerce.

The public is invited to the opening ceremonies for the model railroad exhibit, scheduled between 6 and 8 p.m. inside the museum, located in the Watson Center building of Texas A & M University-Commerce near the intersection of Highway 50 and Culver Street (Highway 178).

The layouts, owned by Steven Pawlow, were recently moved from the former Katy Depot in downtown Greenville.

A ribbon cutting is scheduled at 6:30 p.m., and admission to the museum is free this evening.
