National Night Out slated for tonight

COMMERCE — The Commerce Police Department and Texas A&M University-Commerce Police Department will host National Night Out tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. inside the Morris Recreation Center. The annual event is designed to enhance safety awareness and bring communities together.

National Night Out will feature free food, a bounce house, a DJ, bicycle giveaways and more. Agencies from around Hunt County will be on hand, including the Hunt County Sheriff's office and the Commerce Fire Department.

The event is free to the public, and attendees can park in the Rec Center parking lot or the science building parking lot behind the planetarium.
