Death Notice
Oscar Bradley, 85, of Campbell died the morning of May 19, 2008, in Greenville Health and Rehab. A memorial service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday in Ridgecrest Bapist Church, Greenville. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pedro Rodriguez
Pedro A. Rodriguez, 70, of Commerce died May 13, 2008, at his home. Funeral services were at 3 p.m., May 15, in the chapel of Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home. Burial followed in Sonora Cemetery.
Son of Pedro and Josefa Arrayo Rodriguez, he was born Nov. 20,1937. He married Evangelina Cisneros.
Surviving are his wife; children Artemio Rodriguez of Commerce, Jose Luis Rodriguez and Dago Rodriguez of Celina and Maria Mayela Perez of Prosper; and a host of other family members and friends.

Moleta Barnhardt
Moleta Barnhardt, 97, of Greenville took her journey to heaven the evening of May 14, 2008, to meet her Lord for the first time with open arms and to be reunited with her loved ones. Her services were at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Raymond Turner officiating. Interment followed in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Caddo Mills.
Born Aug. 23, 1910, in Caddo Mills, Mrs. Barnhardt was the daughter of John Rastus and Gracie Ellen Spencer Griffis. On July 16, 1930, she married Raymond Roscoe Barnhardt, who preceded her in death on the same date 39 years ago — May 14, 1969.
She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a charter member of the Eastern Star and was the oldest member of the Family Fellowship Church where she was active in her Prime-timers Sunday School Class.
Her survivors are her daughter, Donnah Rose Murphy and husband Brack of Campbell; granddaughters Rynn R. Duren and husband Arnie of Rowlett, Becky Drake and husband Tim of Greenville, Sonia Aubé and husband Brian of Dallas, Kim Jones of Campbell and Debbie Williams of Plano; great-grandchildren Dillon Ray Duren and Brooke Nicole Duren, both of Rowlett, Austin and Chandler Bigby and Denver Drake of Greenville, Taylor Brooke and Tanner Aubé of Dallas and Rebecca Jones of Campbell; and a brother, Billie Warren Griffis and wife Wanda Pearl of Greenville;
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents; her brother, J.R. Griffis Jr.; and her sister-in-law, Cathryn Griffis.
Pallbearers were Harold Williams, Arnie Duren, Dillon Duren, Tim Drake, Brian Aubé, David Diggs and Darrin Reisor. Honorary pallbearers were J. Harris Morgan, Harold Murphy and Charles Clyde Barnhardt.

Katherine Chilton
McKINNEY — Katherine Spring Chilton, 90, of Commerce died May 18, 2008, in Dallas.
She was born March 18, 1918, in Hugo, Okla., daughter of John and Ruth Cooper Spring Jr. She was a homemaker and worked for the McKinney Independent School District for 15 years in the cafeteria. During World War II she worked on the production line of the P-51 Mustang fighter plane as a riveter. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by daughters Deborah Kelsey, Joanna and husband Dwayne Fulmer and Rachel and husband Charles Miller; a son, Jonathan and wife Sandy Chilton; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Franklin Chilton; and a daughter, Priscilla Arey.
Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 601 S. Tennessee Street, McKinney, with Rev. Vernon Burgess and Rev. Ronnie Chilton officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Harold Mathews
Harold W. Matthews, 71, of Campbell died in the early morning hours of May 20, 2008, at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Graveside services are at 2 p.m. today at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce under the direction of Peters Funeral Home of Greenville.
Visitation is from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the cemetery.
Born Sept. 19, 1936, in Commerce, he was the son of Sam and Florence Hamilton Matthews. He graduated from Commerce High School and attended East Texas State University, Commerce. Mr. Matthews retired from a career as a salesman. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Dallas.
Survivors are two sisters, Hazel Vick of Commerce and Pat Price of Garland, and numerous nieces and nephews.
His parents preceded him in death.
