Bonnie Woford

KILGORE — Bonnie Beth Darrow Woford, 91, of Overton passed away Oct. 3, 2013, in Kilgore.

Bonnie was born July 11, 1922, in Stillwater, Okla., to the late Frank R. and Agnes Darrow.

In 1944 she married the love of her life, Harvey Leon Woford, and they spent the next 63 years together.

They settled in Overton, and Harvey began a career with Sinclair Oil which became ARCO, then later BP.

She was a member of Overton Home Demonstration Club, CWF, Overton PTA, Band Boosters, Eastern Star, and Queen Price Garden Club.

Shortly before Harvey’s death the couple moved to The Willows of Kilgore where Mrs. Bonnie spent the rest of hers days, loving everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey; two daughters, Margaret Lynn Woford and Danna Jane Woford; and brother Carroll Darrow.

She is survived by her sisters, Frances Claxton of Palo Alto, Calif., and Lora Lingerfelt of Yukon, Okla.; daughters and sons-in-law Norma Jean and Richard Cobb of Kilgore, and Patty and Lonnie Visage of Commerce; grandchildren Tomasene and Shaun Coleman, David A. and  Jill Cobb and Steven and Alejandra Visage; great-grandchildren Tammy, Tara, and Tommy Coleman, and Elaine and Kaitlyn Cobb; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all of her caregivers for their tender care.

Following cremation, she will be interred in Wetumka, Okla.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore.
