A&M-C signs PJC basketball standout Spraggins

The pipeline of former Paris Junior College standouts to the Texas A&M University-Commerce men’s basketball program added another member with the signing of 6-3 guard/forward DeUndrae Spraggins.
Spraggins, who played last year at Utah State after spending the previous two years at Paris Junior College. In his one season at Utah State, he played in 27 games on an Aggies squad that advanced to the championship game of the WAC Tournament and went on to play in the NIT.
A native of East St. Louis, Illinois was a key reserve with 13.3 minutes of action a contest, scoring a season-high 14 points against Iowa in 31 minutes of action and a season-high five assists against Vanderbilt.
As a sophomore at Paris Junior College, he earned third-team all-Texas Eastern Conference and honorable mention all-region 14 honors as he averaged 11.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game, while shooting 52.8 percent from the field, 44.4 percent from three-point range, and 84.1 percent from the free throw line. Spraggins also earned honorable mention all-conference honors during his freshman season as he averaged 6.5 points per game.
During his two years at Paris Junior College, Spraggins helped lead the Dragons to an overall record of 51-11 and back-to-back Texas Eastern Conference Championships with a combined 37-7 league mark.
