Texas A&M University-Commerce junior golfer Blake Worden has received a bid as an individual for the upcoming NCAA Division II Men’s South/South Central Super Regional to be played May 5-7 at the Grey Rock Golf Club in Austin.
The 2008 NCAA Men’s Division II Super Regional Tournament field is composed of eight qualifying teams and five qualifying individuals. The NCAA Men’s Division II South/South Central Super Regional serves as the preliminary round of the NCAA Men’s Division II Championship. The NCAA Championships will be held May 14-17 at the Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston.
The South/South Central Regional is scheduled for three 18-hole rounds of play.
It will be Worden’s third consecutive appearance in regional action. The Rowlett product led the Lions this past season with an average of 72.94 strokes in 17 rounds of action.
