COMMERCE — From Commerce ISD: Join in the rousing send off for the first ever District-winning Lady Tiger softball team Friday as they leave for the 2A Area Playoff series against Chisum. At 2 p.m. buses will leave the high school and make their way through downtown and continue down Culver Street toward Mt. Pleasant where they first game will be played at 6 p.m. Games two and three (if needed) will be played at Grand Saline High School at 1 and 3 p.m. May 4. CMS and ACW students will line Culver Street at about 2:20 p.m. Friday to cheer the team toward victory. Everyone is invited to join in. Go Lady Tigers!
Soccer Lions qualify for NCAA tournament
After falling in penalty kicks in the Lone Star \Conference Tournament semifinals, the A&M-Commerce women’s soccer team still qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2008.
