For the second year, the Commerce Community Action Program will be sponsoring a free cooking class for the public, and wants to ask the community what date would be best to host it.
Last year, C-CAP hosted its first cooking class, which was well received. This year, the program is debating two different dates to host the class. It will either be held on Sept. 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. or Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to noon. Both dates are scheduled for Commerce First United Methodist Church.
The class will be taught by Kelly Current, trained gourmet chef and current clinical nutrition manager for Hunt Regional Healthcare.
Those who are interested in attending the class are asked to contact Dr. Bob Johnson at 903-468-2659 to give their date preference.
Commerce FUMC is located at 1709 State Highway 24 on the west side service road.
