A special ceremony was held on Thursday at Commerce High School naming the school's robotics lab in honor of U.S. Air Force veteran Larry Ratliff. Ratliff was in the Air Force for decades, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was a member of the Air Force Association in Greenville, and through the AFA, donated the initial funding to start the CHS Robotics Program in 2016. Upon his passing, he also left funds for the program in his estate. Present for the ceremony were, from left, Ratliff's wife Heidi, daughter Kris McWhorter, grandson Michael McWhorter and son Brian Ratliff.
