With school out of session, the Northeast Texas Children’s Museum is preparing for its annual slate of special summer events.

June and July will see plenty of opportunities for families to find something fun to do at the museum.

June will see a summer adventure kickoff party with bounce houses and face painting, live animals from Davis family animals, and a “Space Jam” event.

July will see a 4th of July parade, children’s health day, a birdhouse workshop and a princess pamper party.

Some events require preregistration while some only require the general admission fee. Adults are $5, children are $6, and children under two-years-old get in free.

Each day has a theme for the summer, with silly science Tuesdays, wacky Wednesdays, crazy creature Thursdays and adventure Fridays. Each day has different themed events. A calendar can be found at the end of this story

To contact the museum for more information or to register for events, call 903-886-6055 or visit the museum at 2501 Highway 24 in Commerce.
