COMMERCE — Three and a half inches of snow fell in Commerce on Dec. 25, the third time in the last eight years that Hunt County has received snowfall on Christmas Day. City offices were closed on Dec. 26 due to the winter weather and rough road condition. City officials planned to reopen on Dec. 27 for regular hours. All emergency services; police, fire and EMS will still be available by contacting the Commerce Police Department at 903-886-1139 or by calling 911, according to city officials.
