COMMERCE — Julia Robinson, director of curriculum for Commerce Independent School District, was named interim principal of Commerce High School.

The position was held by first year principal Adam Rupert, who is awaiting a March 21 court appearance at 8:30 a.m. to face charges of driving while intoxicated that stem from a Nov. 14, 2012, arrest in Collin County.

Commerce ISD is holding a special meeting tonight at 6 p.m. inside the Commerce ISD Professional Development Room on Washington Street.
