Walter Lee “Butch”Alexander, 65, of Commerce went to be with his Lord and Savior Jan. 11, 2013, at his residence. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Walter’s home.
Ingram Funeral Home of Quinlan is in charge of arrangements.
Walter was born June 2, 1947, in Compton, Calif., the son of the late Walter and Hazel Austin Alexander. He was raised in Bakersfield, Calif. Walter worked as a long haul truck driver most of his life. He married the former Miss Karen Clement on Oct. 4, 1994, and they made their home in California before moving to Commerce in 2007. Walter also worked part-time for Wal-Mart in Commerce. He enjoyed fishing and loved his dogs.
He is loved and will be missed by his wife, Karen of Commerce; daughters Carra Hardy of Lake Isabella, Calif., and Christine Alexander of Oval, Texas; a son, Dustin Alexander of Missouri; grandchildren Lilliane and Zoe Jane; a brother, Lyle R. Alexander of Bakersfield, Calif.; and sisters Donna Millington of Springville, Calif., and Tina Downey of Tafe, Calif.
